Peugeot Sales and Marketing Institute
The Brief
The Sales and Marketing Institute are responsible for dealer training,
in particular dealer sales staff. This training covers not only the sales
process and knowledge of the vehicles but also marketing initiatives such
as "The Peugeot Experience", "The Peugeot Expert"
and "Your Passport to Sales Success".
Some traditional training is provided but the Institute wanted to have distance learning material that could be used in the dealership without the need to take sales staff out of the workplace.
An additional requirement was for the assessment of knowledge gained from video, workbook and CD-I material.
The Execution
We worked with them to construct a truly multimedia solution that gave cost-effective provision along with assessment and feedback of results. We also worked together with Dealer Network staff in Tile Hill to integrate delivery in the simplest way within dealer systems, and with "Lion Club" personnel for the awarding of prizes to the highest scoring sales staff and dealership.
Types of materials produced included:
- CBT and Sales Games on "New Model Year" changes and new Model launches.
- Assessment programmes, in the form of games, to measure effectiveness
of training delivered via Video and CD-I.
- Construction of databases to analyse results and effectiveness of training.
- Production of awards programme (hampers, wine etc.) for sales staff and dealerships.
The Result
We provided The Marketing Institute with assessment and statistics with
which they could validate the effectiveness of their programmes. The dealerships
gained from the delivery of new style training and increased staff motivation.
